Vocational School Electronics and Automation Department Mechatronics Program Faculty Member Dr. Lecturer. Prof. Dr. Çağatay ERSİN held an event titled “Introduction to the World of Robotics” for Ahmet Mecbur Efendi Science and Art Center (BİLSEM) students on Friday, 14.03.2025 between 17:30-18:30.
The “Introduction to the World of Robotics” event organized for primary school students was completed with great interest and excitement. Under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Lect. Prof. Dr. Çağatay Ersin, students gained basic knowledge about robot technologies and carried out practical studies. In the first part of the event, students closely examined projects such as line-following robot, obstacle-avoiding robot and Bluetooth-controlled robot and learned how these systems work. Observing the working principles of robots, students gained awareness of how these technologies are used in daily life. In the second part, students realized various applications using basic electronic components with Arduino. They conducted basic electronic experiments such as LED lighting, servo motor control and sensor use, and had the opportunity to run the circuits by writing code. The hands-on learning process increased the students` interest in technology and helped them develop their problem solving and creative thinking skills.
Robotics Community members guided the students throughout the event, answering their questions and organizing various workshops to provide fun learning experiences. During the event, students had the opportunity to develop their own projects and explore their curiosity about robotics. At the end of the event, students shared the information they learned about robotics technologies and shared their experiences.
