Security management conferences were held at Çankırı Şehit Seyit Saraç Special Operations Police Training Center on March 12, 2025. Within UGSAM, presentations were made by our University`s Political Science and Public Administration faculty members Assoc. Prof. Dr. Emine ÇELİKSOY and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Burçin DEMİRBİLEK.
Assoc. Prof. Emine ÇELİKSOY made a presentation on the theme of “The Ministry of National Defense`s Use of Social Media Accounts in Cross-Border Operations”. In the presentation, new policies applied in security management within the scope of state, security, security management, right to self-defense, web 2.0. were discussed.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Burçin DEMİRBİLEK made a presentation on “Environmental Security”. In the presentation, hybrid threats and human security issues were discussed within the scope of the new security understanding. In addition, environmental security and environmental security threats in the pre, during and post-war periods were evaluated within the context of the Syrian case.
