Şabanözü Vocational School, Department of Veterinary Medicine, Laboratory and Veterinary Health Program Faculty Member Dr. Müge FIRAT organized a training seminar on “Ways of Transmission of Zoonotic Viruses” at Şabanözü Şehit Murat Somuncu Secondary School on May 7, 2025 within the scope of Social Contribution Activities. The importance of individual awareness in the protection of public health was emphasized by conveying to the students in a simple and understandable language the viruses that can be transmitted to humans from animals, the transmission routes of these viruses, the undesirable situations they can cause in humans and the measures that can be taken against zoonotic viruses. At the end of the seminar, Martyr Murat Somuncu Secondary School Director Uzm. Lecturer. Ömer ŞAHİNOĞLU thanked Dr. Müge FIRAT and stated that such activities make an important contribution to creating health awareness in students. As Şabanözü Vocational School, it is evaluated that such social contribution activities carried out in cooperation with educational institutions in our region strengthen university-society interaction as well as increasing the level of knowledge of students.
