Assoc. Prof. Ebru KILIÇAY met with students from Nevzat Ayaz Social Sciences High School as part of the Science Talks series.
The talk covered the use of advanced technology materials such as nanoparticles, nanocapsules, nanosponge, dendrimers, polymeric micelles, and carbon nanotubes in medicine as part of drug delivery systems. The advantages of smart polymers, particularly in cancer treatment, controlled drug release, and targeted therapy approaches, were shared with the students. Topics such as the preparation methods of nanopharmaceuticals, the characterization of carrier systems, and their potential to enhance bioavailability were also highlighted during the discussion.
